Israeli industrial designer Hilla Shamia creates these breathtaking stools by joining aluminum and wood logs. Molten aluminum is poured over the logs, inside molds, causing the top layer of the wood to burn and the liquid metal to float into and fill the natural cracks and creases in the wood surface.
